New Mayor and Deputy for 2011-12

The Annual Mayor-Making meeting took place today (May 16th, 2011) in the presence of the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports, Admiral the Lord Boyce.
In an historic Mayor-Making ceremony with guest of honour, The Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports, Admiral the Lord Boyce KG GCB OBE DL, Councillor Graham Snell was elected Town Mayor of Lydd. The Deputy Mayor will be the twice former mayor Councillor Chris Albrow.
The post of Civic Representative was not filled and will be held over until a future meeting. The Mayor wished to have time to consider his choice of Mayor's Chaplain, so this too will be held over.
At the Mayor's invitation, the Lord Warden gave an address before presenting the outgoing Mayor, Councillor Rochelle Saunders, with her past Mayor's badge.
